Lexington Health is seeking a Spoken Language Interpreter to facilitate communication between LEP patients, visitors, and staff at Lexington Medical Center. The role requires accurate interpretation and adherence to medical interpreting standards.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual with English and another language, possess a high school diploma, and obtain national certification within the first year. Sign-on bonus is available and travel to other LMC facilities may be required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience as a medical interpreter.
• Nationally certified or must obtain certification within first year (CCHI).

Mansioni

• Provide interpretation with accuracy using medical terminology.
• Serve as cultural mediator to enhance communication between staff and patients.
• Maintain and improve language and interpreting skills.
• Participate in Continuing Education to maintain certification.
