Job summary

Lexington Health, Inc. seeks a Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our care team and bridge language needs for LEP patients. You will provide accurate, compassionate interpretation during patient encounters, aiding understanding of procedures and discharge instructions and family education.

You should have at least 1 year of medical interpreter experience and ideally be nationally certified through CCHI; Bridging the Gap training is required on hire. Travel to other facilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical interpreter experience
• Nationally certified through CCHI or must obtain within first year
• Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter training must be completed upon hire
• Bilingual English and another language required ( English + second language )

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services with accuracy during patient encounters
• Serve as cultural mediator to enhance communication between staff and patients
• Follow NCIHC guidelines for interpretation in healthcare
• Travel to other Lexington Medical Center facilities as needed
