Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role supports harness integration, work centers, and propulsion manufacturing, with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

The role involves leading production planning, design reviews, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time delivery of flight hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field with minimum experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering.
• Level 2 requires at least 2 years; Level 3 requires at least 5 years (or Master's with 3 years).
• No security clearance required for either level.

Responsibilities

• Authorize and maintain production plans detailing spacecraft hardware assembly.
• Participate in design peer reviews to ensure manufacturability and alignment with processes.
• Evaluate non-conforming product and develop rework procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for root cause and corrective actions.
• Develop manufacturing processes and introduce new tools for propulsion systems.
• Revise production plans in response to design changes to meet flight configuration.
• Provide direct support to Technicians on the manufacturing floor.
• Act as manufacturing lead on assigned programs to protect schedule and budget.
• Ensure processes comply with industry standards and internal procedures.
