Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role follows a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, focusing on production planning and process design for multiple programs.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and hands-on electronics assembly experience, with proficiency in Costpoint, SAP, MES, and related systems. This position offers competitive salaries and full Northrop Grumman benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field is required.
2+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area for Level 2; 5+ years for Level 3.
Hands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment (soldering, epoxy dispensing, AOI, etc.).
Experience with manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control is a plus.

Responsibilities

Creates, leads, and approves production plans.
Leads engineering review to document processes to maintain schedule for one or more programs.
Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment.
Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
Inspects machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiates corrective action.
Ensures compliance with regulations and provides guidance to engineering on design concepts and specifications.
Interfaces with Technicians and supporting roles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
