Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Manager – Level 2 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role leads a ten-person team and oversees electromechanical assembly processes, quality improvements, and capital projects.

The candidate will mentor engineers, manage staffing, and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration to sustain schedule and cost targets, with a 9/80 work schedule and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 9 years of experience or Master’s degree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience leading manufacturing engineering teams and projects.
• Proficiency with scheduling, earned‑value tracking, and budgeting tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).

Responsibilities

• Act as hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer for assigned programs, drafting and reviewing work instructions and dispositions.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to improve electromechanical assembly methods with DFM and manufacturing readiness.
• Oversee equipment qualification, project budgeting, and tooling pilot deployments.
