Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to design, analyze, procure, install, and test components for the Reaction Control System within the Gas and Thrusters team on the Lunar Permanence Vehicle. You will size parts, select materials, and ensure safety-critical performance.

Based at the Rocket Park Facility, you will collaborate with suppliers and internal groups, manage sub-assembly schedules and costs, and develop piping and instrumentation diagrams using AutoCAD or

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in aerospace fluid or mechanical systems design.
  • Experience with Creo and 3D CAD; GD&T proficiency (ASME Y14.5).
  • Familiarity with fluid components such as valves, tubing, and pressurized hardware.
  • Ability to perform flow/pressure calculations and structural/thermal analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fluid sub-assemblies; procure components and create CAD models.
  • Interpret P&IDs and generate diagrams using AutoCAD.
  • Develop interface definitions between fluid systems and other subsystems.
  • Analyze and verify components to company standards; support procurement and testing.
  • Manage project plans, cost, and schedule for sub-assemblies.
