Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida seeks a seasoned mechanical/aerospace engineer to join our propulsion and fluid systems team. You will design, analyze, and qualify pressurized liquid and gas systems for a reusable launch vehicle, spanning cryogenic to hot gas environments.

You will perform Creo CAD, ANSYS FEA, and GD&T drawings, collaborating with vendors and program management to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years proven experience in design of aerospace fluid or mechanical systems.
  • Experience in 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred).
  • Experience in FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
  • Proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Experience with project management and vendor coordination.
  • U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop and qualify pressurized liquid/gas systems for a reusable launch vehicle.
  • Contribute to mechanical design, layouts, and test definitions across cryogenic to high-temperature environments.
  • Create engineering drawings and specifications, and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams.
