Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a Fluids Test Engineer to support test design and execution for fluids components across our Lunar Lander product lines. You will write test plans, develop procedures, and participate in gate reviews, with a focus on safety and repeatable spaceflight.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related field, at least two years of experience, and experience with pressurized or cryogenic systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems.
  • Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Write test plans and test procedures for pump and fluid components, including development, and environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns.
  • Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration.
  • Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability.
  • Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews.
  • Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software.
  • Follow safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies real-time.
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks.
