Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island, FL seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, manufacturing and testing of rocket fluid systems. You will manage the full design cycle from concept to verification, using Creo and ANSYS, delivering high‑quality, cryogenic hardware for spaceflight.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years in complex fluid systems, with strong collaboration across teams to ensure safe, cost‑effective integration and rigorous

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of professional engineering experience with complex fluid systems.
  • Experience with launch vehicle components and cryogenic systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design fluid component hardware to meet cost, performance and schedule constraints.
  • Design and route complex fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, RCS).
  • Create and own development, acceptance and qualification test activities.
  • Work with fluid components such as valves, pressure vessels and instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with other groups to ensure integrated system performance and manage risk.
  • Conduct supplier management, scheduling, and production interfacing.
  • Use 3D CAD (Creo) and FEA (ANSYS) for design and analysis.
  • Deliver designs with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and documented analysis reports.
