Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a supervisor to lead the CPV team within the Operations group. You will manage shift leads, technicians, and resource planning to ensure timely processing of spaceflight hardware.

The role requires strong leadership, recruiting, coaching, and collaboration with engineers to refine processing methods while maintaining strict quality standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing production in manufacturing, fabrication, test, or operations.
• Certification in precision cleaning, chemical processing and hardware inspection per AMS2700/IEST-STD-CC1246.
• Knowledge of drawings/work orders and ability to review them.
• Strong organization and people skills in a dynamic, multi-shift environment.
• U.S. citizen/national or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel, recruiting, performance reviews, coaching, and scheduling.
• Promote teamwork and positive employee morale.
• Review design concepts with engineers and support process development.
• Allocate resources and assign personnel across 4 shifts.
• Provide status updates on hardware deliveries at daily meetings.
• Ensure training records are accurate and up to date.
• Ensure products meet quality standards per released engineering.
• Maintain stock of consumables and calibration of tools/equipment.
• Enforce 5S and FOD controls; manage capital and operating budgets.
