Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a CPV Expeditor/Shop Help on the C shift in Huntsville, AL, to support CPV Lab, equipment, and shop operations. You will perform cleaning, inspection, and assist with readiness across CPV, ensuring timely hardware movement.

The role emphasizes safety and reliability; candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. U.S. citizenship or eligible status required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to work on a production floor, including standing, walking, and physically verifying hardware across multiple work centers throughout a full shift.
• Ability to lift items up to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
• Must possess a strong work ethic, prove ability to follow direction, and meet expectations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning machines inside and out along with other equipment and parts.
• Maintain real-time physical and system-level awareness of hardware location, status, and readiness across CPV.
• Proactively identify at-risk, stalled, or missing hardware in CPV before it impacts the build schedule.
• Sweeping and mopping floors and other work areas.
• Supporting the shop’s 5S initiatives.
• Using hand tools to assemble or disassemble furniture, tooling carts, and other pieces of equipment.
• Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
• Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
• Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
• Perform shop level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
• Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
• Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.
