Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Avionics Hardware Engineer to design, integrate, and test data acquisition systems for space launch vehicles. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, focusing on sensor integration, signal conditioning, and high-reliability electronics in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of avionics systems design experience.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Strong signal conditioning and AFE front-end design for sensors.
• Familiarity with mixed-signal isolation design to prevent noise.
• Understanding of MIL-STD and environmental testing.
• Excellent communication in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop system requirements for data acquisition systems used in health monitoring.
• Create and review schematics based on system requirements.
• Review PCB designs and layouts for accuracy.
• Ensure designs meet aerospace standards including signal integrity and thermal constraints.
• Perform benchmarking and performance analysis to guide design.
• Collaborate with embedded software and network OS teams during integration.
• Design robust systems for extreme environments per SMC-S-016.
• Integrate DFM and DFA early in lifecycle.
• Evaluate AI-enabled inspection to improve capacity and reduce bottlenecks.
• Support full development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Lead LRU design validation of high-performance DAQ systems.
