Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Avionics Hardware Engineer to design, integrate and validate data acquisition systems for New Glenn. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, from concept through deployment, focusing on sensor integration and high-reliability hardware for extreme environments.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with software and network teams, and a bias for action to deliver quality in a rapid development setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in avionics systems design, aerospace experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sensor signal conditioning and ADC/FPGA workflows.
  • Experience with mixed-signal isolation and EMI/Noise mitigation.
  • Ability to derive and decompose complex hardware requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data acquisition systems for vehicle health monitoring.
  • Review schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring aerospace standards compliance.
  • Collaborate with embedded software and network OS teams during integration.
  • Lead LRU design validation including sensor excitation stability and anti-aliasing.
  • Support full development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
