Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a systems engineer to join the In‑Space Systems SSE, applying multidisciplinary engineering to ensure spacecraft meets mission needs. You will work across Assembly, Integration, & Test and Mission Operations to define requirements, architecture, and verification plans.

Expect collaboration across program interfaces, leadership within a fast-paced environment, and active contribution to test strategies and risk management. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience in systems engineering in aerospace.
• Experience with spacecraft subsystem integration and system-level requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Systems Engineer to ensure design standards and best practices are followed.
• Develop CONOPs, define requirements, analyze interfaces, and decompose high-level requirements.
• Translate system requirements into lower-level architecture and functional diagrams.
• Coordinate with subsystem teams for verification and validation plans.
• Oversee test plans, procedures, and results reporting.
