Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Structural Analyst in Florida to own and execute structural analysis for critical spacecraft components. You will perform detailed FEA, conduct hand calculations, and ensure designs meet mass and stiffness targets.

The role requires collaboration with design engineers and mentoring of junior staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 7+ years in space/aerospace structural analysis and strong FEA proficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
7+ years of professional experience in structural analysis focusing on space/aerospace.
Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, Abaqus.

Responsibilities

Own and execute structural analysis for spacecraft components from concept to verification.
Perform detailed FEA to model stress, strain, and modal response of complex systems.
Conduct hand calculations and analytical models to validate FEA results.
Analyze hardware for static, dynamic, and thermo-elastic loads.
Support development and execution of structural test plans and testing.
Correlate analysis models with test data to improve accuracy.
Collaborate with design engineers to drive design improvements and mass optimization.
Mentor engineers in structural analysis.
