Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Harness Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering definitions into scalable manufacturing steps for cable harness hardware. You will support on-floor fabrication, refine work instructions, and drive continuous improvement across the harness shop.

You will collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and operations to ensure quality, safety, and manufacturability while aligning with AS9100/ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–3 years in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role (Level 1).
• 3+ years → Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer. 5+ years → Level 3 Manufacturing Engineer.
• 1+ year experience creating English-language work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent and drawings into manufacturing steps for cable harness hardware.
• Support harness shop operations on the floor during fabrication and integration.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions covering receiving inspection, wire prep, termination, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Lead and mentor harness fabrication technicians, providing real-time guidance and resolving production issues.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (accredited university)
