Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington State is seeking an Electrical Cable Harness Design Engineer to shape the wiring architecture for spacecraft test beds and lunar vehicles. You will design harnesses for power distribution, RF, and high-speed data, and guide installation and integration across the full life cycle.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical subject area.
• 2+ years’ experience designing Wire Harnesses.
• 2+ years’ experience creating schematics, SID/BID/WID.
• Experience in configuration management cycle of harness drawings.
• Understanding and application of wire derating analysis.
• Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620A.
• Strong CAD skills; CREO and Zuken knowledge preferred.
• Experience designing harnessing for spacecraft, launch vehicles, or aircraft is desired.
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering and system interconnect diagrams (SID), block interconnect diagrams (BID), and wiring interconnect diagrams (WID).
• Integration and installation of electrical harnesses for power, RF, and high‑speed data signals.
• Create 3D routed harness data files using CAD software and support hardware installation.
• Provide technical guidance for harness fabrication, testing, and life cycle support.
• Support HIL test beds and lab infrastructure (racks, harnesses).
