Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to lead electrical harness design for the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will develop wiring interconnect diagrams, harness assembly and installation drawings, and support integration and testing of cables and harnesses for spaceflight hardware.

Required are a B.S. in a technical field and 3+ years of aerospace harness design experience, with proficiency in Creo and CAD routing tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Computer Engineering or related technical subject area.
• 3+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with Creo, Zuken or Windchill or similar CAD routing software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication and high-speed data signal.
• Select harness components, connectors, backshells, cables and wires.
• Create Wiring diagrams using Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness data files using Creo Cabling.
• Produce harness installation drawings and 2D flat harness drawings from 3D data.
• Design and integrate harness support brackets and perform trade studies.
• Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and test cables/harnesses.
• Report activity schedules and technical status; identify opportunities for improvement.
