Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring for an Electrical Harness Design role within the Mk1 Vehicle Electrical Harness Design team. You will develop wiring diagrams, 3D routed harness data, and installation drawings, impacting spacecraft electrical systems.

The role requires a BS in a technical field and 3+ years in aerospace harness design, with proficiency in Creo, Zuken or Windchill and knowledge of derating analyses and IPC/NASA standards. On-site Colorado role with strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, physics, computer engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing wire harnesses for aerospace.
• Familiar with Creo, Zuken or Windchill; other high-end CAD routing tools are a plus.
• Knowledge of wire derating analysis and applicable standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620A, NASA-STD-8739.4).
• Strong 3-D CAD design and system integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communications and high-speed data.
• Create wiring diagrams using Zuken E3 and 3D routed harness data in Creo Cabling.
• Produce harness installation and detail drawings; design harness supports.
• Support design trade studies and hardware installation guidance.
• Assist in assembly and testing of cables and harnesses; report progress and status.
