Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support end users, maintain enterprise hardware and software, and help sustain reliable IT operations. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting and customer service within a growing company.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in desktop support, experience with networks and security systems, and familiarity with Windows, Office 365, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in desktop support, help desk, or customer support roles.
• 3+ years maintaining network and security systems (APs, switches, cabling).
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Hands-on hardware maintenance experience (servers, workstations, peripherals).
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI, routing, firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Support facilities in Lanham, MD, and Arlington, VA.
• Provide hardware and software support for end-user devices, servers, and mobile devices.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Entra; support 1Password usage.
• Support Office 365 applications for users.
• Prepare, deploy, and ship hardware to remote sites and users.
• Deploy on-premises hardware: routers, switches, cameras, APs, servers, monitors, printers.
• Install, patch, upgrade software to maintain security.
• Troubleshoot cabling and badge-access system issues.
• Document cabling infrastructure accurately.
• Support facilities maintenance team as needed.
• Escalate complex issues to SMEs.
