Job summary

Vast, based in Long Beach, is building Haven-1 and a broader space-station program to enable sustained human presence in space. The SMT Test Technician reports to the Supervisor, Structures Test and assists in development, qualification, and acceptance testing of Haven-1 components and structure.

This full‑time, on‑site role requires 3+ years in a testing field with electrical experience, the ability to lift 25 lbs, and occasional travel to Mojave; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a specific testing field with electrical experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering with test campaigns and instrumentation
• Set up and operate tests per procedures
• Follow drawings and schematics to execute tests
• Troubleshoot DAQ and test setup issues
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Review test requirements and QA documentation
