Job summary

Vast is seeking a Test Engineer to support Haven-1 structure testing at our Long Beach, CA site. You will work under the Director of Structures Test, developing test campaigns, executing test plans, and mentoring other engineers and technicians to ensure safety and quality in space station hardware.

You will collaborate across Manufacturing, Integration, and Avionics, producing traceable documentation and ensuring compliance with design reviews and test standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in engineering environments (test, launch, manufacturing).
• Experience with environmental testing per industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute testing on Haven-1 primary and secondary structures.
• Mentor engineers and technicians on the team.
• Produce professional, traceable test documentation (schematics of test systems).
• Design, prepare, and execute test campaigns and test stands.
• Conduct TRR, PDR, and CDR reviews before design/tests start.
• Perform design, analysis, and project management tasks.
