Job summary

Amentum seeks an engineer on the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program at Kennedy Space Center, FL to plan and oversee electronic equipment projects within design, analysis, or review teams.

Responsibilities include performing supervised engineering tasks, drafting specifications, auditing drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional disciplines to ensure system requirements are met, quality is maintained, and safety is prioritized.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
  • 0–1 year of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and analytical abilities; working knowledge of computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of engineering tasks with supervision, including design development and analysis reviews.
  • Work on less complex tasks and assist in generation of specifications and data.
  • Audit drawings and provide redline updates.
  • Create work orders and process workflow using Maximo.
  • Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define system requirements.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems or databases for project tracking.
  • Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system specifications.
  • Interface with customers in design reviews and meetings to verify requirements.
  • Verify compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
  • Promote safety with ongoing HSE focus and corrective actions.
  • Keep current on required training.
  • Conduct site visits and investigations; propose solutions.
  • Ensure quality meets customer requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
