Job summary

Amentum is seeking a lead engineer on the Kennedy Propellants and Life Support Services program at Kennedy Space Center, FL. You will oversee design, analysis and reviews of complex electronic/mechanical systems, guiding a design/review team through complete project life cycles from concept through fielding.

Responsibilities include generating complete design specs, performing ASME code verifications, coordinating with multi-discipline teams, and presenting technical results to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years' relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to troubleshoot hardware/software.
  • Willingness to travel and obtain security clearance (NACI).
  • US citizenship required for restricted area access.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design development, analysis or review tasks independently.
  • Generate complete design specifications for complex projects.
  • Prepare pressure vessel/system certification reports for pneumatics and propellant systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering and program management to define system requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and engineering investigations to propose solutions.
