Job summary

Amentum is seeking an engineer to perform assessments of propellants, cryogenics, pneumatics and life support systems under general supervision. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and four years’ experience, with CAD and MS Office proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline required, and four years of experience.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office suite and AutoCAD.
• Excellent verbal, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Background in design and testing of aerospace ground support systems desirable.
• Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures in propellants or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Mechanical Integrity Inspections of hazardous systems and document deficiencies.
• Prepare, review and implement system designs as assigned by Management.
• Manage subcontractors across project phases and report status to Management.
• Perform Process Safety Management functions and maintain related records.
• Create drawings and figures using AutoCAD and act as Configuration Manager for critical systems.
• Direct technicians in Engineering Field Instructions (EFI’s) as needed.
