Job summary

The City of New York, through the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, seeks a Space Analyst to maintain real estate inventory and optimize space usage. You will document occupancy, update CAD drawings, and work with Facilities Management and Leasing teams on utilization initiatives.

Responsibilities include site visits, space studies, and creating AutoCAD/Furniture layouts, with Archibus data entry and periodic occupancy surveys. Flexible remote work up to two days per week may apply.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree with one year of space evaluation/layout experience or a high school diploma with five years of space evaluation experience.
• College education may substitute for up to four years of experience; specific space and leasing knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits to analyze spatial organization and utilization.
• Analyze walk-through results to propose restacking, redesign or relocation.
• Develop space studies to maximize office space utilization.
• Create and update AutoCAD as-built drawings and furniture layouts.
• Enter floor plans and occupancy data into Archibus/PPM database.
• Conduct periodic surveys to ensure space inventory accuracy.
• Prepare reports on building and occupancy data.
