Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in New York City is seeking an Occupancy Planner Associate to support a premier financial services client in a hybrid role (three days in office, two days remote).

You will help manage ~1.3 million sq ft across the HQ campus and other locations, collaborating with workplace, facilities, and project teams to ensure employees have the space and resources they need. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Space Planning, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Up to 2 years of occupancy planning, space planning, or workplace strategy experience.
• Commercial interior design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing/updating floor plans and test fits.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends.
• Experience maintaining accurate space and occupancy data and system records.
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop space planning recommendations to enhance the workplace experience.
• Create block/stack plans, move lists, and workplace strategies.
• Develop drawings, reports, and presentations for occupancy decisions.
• Coordinate employee moves and space changes for seamless transitions.
• Track approvals and action items in client meetings and project plans.
• Maintain space and occupancy data in the client system and ensure data integrity.
• Conduct floor audits and validate layouts against floor plans.
• Analyze workplace metrics, identify trends, and support forecasting.
• Gather requirements from clients and translate into workable workplace solutions.
• Support space planning initiatives with project teams and architecture colleagues.
• Assist with post-occupancy evaluations and continuous improvement.
