Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer (Mid/Sr.) for Integration & Test (SEIT) to support NASA at Wallops Flight Facility, VA. You will drive system engineering, integration, and testing across spaceflight, airborne, and ground segments, coordinating with hardware, software, and cybersecurity teams.

Travel for DTE activities and potential Secret clearance are included. As a prime contractor on the SENSE program, you will contribute to mission-critical space communications, support design

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; MS with 3+ years OK
• 3+ years in development, integration, and test within systems engineering
• Experience documenting requirements for customers
• Experience communicating complex projects to stakeholders
• Experience with test strategy, plans, scripts, and reports
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers
• Proficient in MS Office tools for briefings, schedules, documents, and Excel manipulation
• Ability to travel for weeks at a time for DTE activities
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering through SEMP processes
• Deploy and test new/revised applications on operational systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate system issues
• Lead planning, scheduling, health monitoring, and risk management
• Lead cross-functional teams and present at program reviews
• Mentor junior systems engineers
• Perform system-level testing with ground station equipment
• Support GSTF management tasks for DTE hardware/software
• Assist orbital and launch operations activities
