Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer (Mid/Sr.) for Integration & Test (SEIT) to support NASA at Wallops Flight Facility in VA. You will join the SENSE team responsible for space-ground communications, facilitate design, development, integration, testing and operations across multiple functional elements.

You will lead system engineering activities, collaborate with hardware/software teams, IT security, and mission assurance, and mentor junior engineers while preparing for end-to-end testing in

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5+ years of related experience; or MS with 3+ years.
• 3+ years of development, integration, and test within systems engineering.
• Experience documenting requirements with customers.
• Experience communicating complex projects to stakeholders.
• Experience creating test strategy, plans, scripts, and reports.
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting (C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, UNIX).
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers (RedHat, CentOS).
• Ability to travel up to several weeks/year for DTE activities.
• US citizen; ability to obtain Secret clearance; Public Trust background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide SEIT excellence through SE Management Plan processes.
• Support deployment of new/revised applications to operational systems and perform testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate system anomalies.
• Provide leadership over planning, scheduling, health state, and risk management.
• Guide cross-functional teams and present at program reviews.
• Mentor junior systems engineers on the program.
• Perform system-level testing with ground systems equipment for end-to-end testing.
• Support GSTF management tasks involving DTE hardware and software.
• Support orbital and launch operations activities.
