Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer (Mid/Sr.) for Integration & Test (SEIT) supporting NASA at Wallops Flight Facility in VA. You will coordinate system engineering across hardware, software, and cybersecurity, guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

You will perform end-to-end testing in GSTF, deploy new applications to operational systems, and collaborate with Operations, IT Security, Mission Assurance, and Leads to resolve complex issues. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience; or MS degree with 3+ years.
• 3+ years of I&T within the systems engineering function.
• Experience documenting and deriving requirements from customers.
• Experience communicating complex technical projects to stakeholders.
• Experience creating Test Strategy, Plans, Scripts and Summary Reports.
• Experience with Test Automation Tools and scripting (C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, UNIX).
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers (RedHat, CentOS).
• Proficiency with MS Office tools for presentations, schedules, and documents.
• Ability to travel up to weeks per year for DTE activities.
• Requires a Public Trust background check and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide SE excellence through SE management plan processes.
• Support deployment of new and revised applications to operational systems, including hardware/software testing.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT Security, Mission Assurance, and Leads to identify and mitigate anomalies.
• Provide leadership over planning, scheduling, health state, and risk management.
• Guide cross-functional teams and lead program reviews.
• Mentor junior systems engineers.
• Perform system-level testing with ground systems for end-to-end testing at GSTF.
• Support GSTF management tasks involving DTE hardware/software.
• Support orbital and launch operations.
