Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Program Manager to support NASA and space industry customers. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage contract performance, and serve as the primary customer contact, ensuring successful delivery and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and experience with multi-project oversight. The ideal candidate will live near a NASA center, possess 10+ years in related spaces, and demonstrate excellence in communications, mentoring, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field with 10+ years leading space research/missions programs or a Master's with 8+ years of experience.
• Minimum of 4 years' program management experience on technical programs or large multi-faceted task orders of $10M+ annual value.
• Experience with different contract types (e.g., FFP).
• Experience in financial management, performance management, business management, process management, resource management, risk assessment and risk management, and change management.
• Experience overseeing multi-function project teams in a matrixed organization.
• Experience in business development processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of accountability for overall contract performance, managing scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and technical quality.
• Be the primary customer contact (CO/COR) and interface with customer technical leadership.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Plan, organize and manage multiple teams led by technical leads to meet contract requirements.
• Coordinate with other companies and support personnel to execute contract plans.
• Generate forecasts for budget, labor resources, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform contract management tasks to meet quality, safety, OCI, property, and IT security obligations.
• Ensure optimal staffing with appropriate skills.
• Oversee multi-function project teams responsible for contract deliverables.
• Manage subcontractor and teaming partner performance as applicable.
• Communicate program status to customer and Leidos Division Manager.
• Support proposal development, recompete, and business-growth activities.
