Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead production-system design and implementation, driving quality, safety, and cost improvements across our Space Coast operations.

You will collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to industrialize new products, develop robust work instructions, and evaluate advanced manufacturing technologies for aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering; 5+ years Level 3; 8+ years Sr.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.; able to work second shift and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products across vehicle integration, test, structural assembly, mechanical systems, solar arrays, avionics, fluids, and thermal products.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space hardware delivery.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Support root cause analysis of process/product non-conformances; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001; participate in FMEAs, risk assessments, and equipment validation.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions to scale operations.
