Job summary

The University of Houston System is seeking a Facilities Management student assistant in Houston to support space inventory data and construction document archives. You will work with AutoCAD drawings, update space data, and organize survey documents while communicating with diverse department personnel.

As a UHD student, you’ll develop technical and documentation skills, assist in space measurements, and participate in data entry tasks across Space Management software and related records.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UHD student and eligible for Work-Study.
• Enrolled in at least six college credit hours for the term.
• Basic computer skills including AutoCAD, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong writing, customer service, and willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surveying spaces and documenting measurements, signage status, capacity, and space codes.
• Assist in drawing and editing AutoCAD drawings and updates to Space Inventory data.
• Enter and manage space data in Space Management software.
• Scan, organize, and maintain space survey documents and drawings physically and digitally.
• Other duties as assigned.
