Job summary

The University of Houston System is seeking a part-time student worker for Facilities Management in Houston. You will assist in maintaining space inventory data and construction document archives, with a focus on AutoCAD drawings and data entry, while communicating effectively with diverse departmental personnel.

Qualified candidates are UHD students eligible for Work-Study and enrolled in at least six college credits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and construction plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse departmental personnel.
• Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in physically surveying spaces and documenting measurements, signage status, capacity, and space code.
• Assists in drawing and editing AutoCAD drawings
• Updates Space Inventory data
• Assists in space data entry in Space Management software.
• Scan, organize, and maintain space survey documents and architectural and construction drawings physically and digitally.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Qualifications:

• Must be a current UHD student
• Must be eligible for Work-Study from the Office of Financial Aid
• Must be enrolled in at least six college credit hours
