Job summary

Vast is seeking a Business Development Analyst II in Long Beach to support the design and execution of complex proposals for satellite programs. You will coordinate inputs across capture, engineering, finance and contracts, and own sections end-to-end.

You will leverage AI tools for market research and content development while supporting CRM hygiene, reporting, and leadership visibility. This role offers growth into a front-line BD path.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in business development, sales operations, market/customer analysis, or related commercial field.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills to translate technical or market information into customer-ready materials.
• Excellent organizational skills managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Comfort using AI tools to support research, analysis, and content development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of large, complex proposals with cross-functional inputs.
• Own proposal sections, capability write-ups, or analyses end-to-end.
• Conduct research on customers, market positioning, and competitive landscape.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate research and proposal development.
• Support day-to-day sales operations, including CRM hygiene and pipeline tracking.
• Represent Vast in customer-facing settings, including meetings and events.
• Prepare briefing materials and content in partnership with Marketing, Engineering, and Communications.
• Track industry developments relevant to Vast's Satellite business.
