Job summary

Vast Space Llc. is actively seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to own the end-to-end lifecycle for high-value DoD, IC, and commercial satellite bus opportunities.

This role reports to the Director, CLD Proposal Management and is based in Long Beach, CA, with responsibilities spanning strategy, schedules, and cross-functional leadership. The candidate must have deep proposal discipline, experience with space hardware programs, and an active TS/SCI clearance (or eligible for reinstatement).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business, or writing discipline.
• 10+ years of proposal management experience, with a substantial portion supporting DoD/IC customers.
• Experience with the full proposal lifecycle from RFIs to post-award as well as source selection.
• FAR 15.408, Table 15-2 requirements for certified cost or pricing data.
• Experience with satellite or space mission systems and related architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire proposal development process for DoW, IC, and commercial satellite bus pursuits.
• Develop win strategies and communicate strengths across proposal sections.
• Create schedules, compliance matrices, and win themes with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Serve as central integrator across technical, management, cost, and past performance volumes.
• Lead color team reviews and manage proposal writers, SMEs, and graphics support.
• Support classified proposal efforts in SCIFs or controlled facilities as required.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Capture to shape strategy, teaming, and discriminators.
• Support debrief analyses and continuous process improvement for proposals.
