Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation invites a Remote Sensing Systems Technical Expert (Project Leader–Client Technical Analysis) to join our Space Based Environmental Monitoring Directorate in Washington, DC. This full‑time role requires 100% onsite work and offers a path to contribute to NOAA licensing analyses and regulatory oversight.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in space systems or related fields, a Bachelor’s in STEM, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited STEM program.
• 8+ years of relevant space systems or regulatory operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and timely reporting.
• Willing to travel ~10% if required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise in remote sensing system capabilities across EO/SAR and related modalities.
• Provide dedicated support to CRSRA and regulatory analysis.
• Plan and conduct licensing and compliance analyses for private remote sensing space systems.
• Produce technical assessments to evaluate regulatory compliance with Federal law and NOAA licenses.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts to deliver technical consultations to CRSRA staff.
