Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Remote Sensing Systems Technical Expert (Project Leader- Client Technical Analysis) to provide licensing and compliance analysis for NOAA CRSRA. This full-time, onsite role in Washington, DC requires strong phenomenology expertise across electro-optical and RF remote sensing and robust reports for federal staff.

You will support licensing and regulatory activities, evaluate system capabilities, and coordinate with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited STEM program.
• 8+ years in space system design, electro-optical or SAR, or imagery data analysis.
• Experience in space operations, regulatory operations, or space policy analysis.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and timely report delivery.
• Willingness to travel ~10%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise across remote sensing areas: ground networks and cloud satellite operations.
• Analyze mission operations, flight control, and payload integration.
• Perform orbit mechanics and satellite decay/deorbit analysis.
• Evaluate communications, optical/RF sensor characteristics and system performance.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and technical analyses for CRSRA and NOAA stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts to deliver technical consultations.
