The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Remote Sensing Architecture Performance Engineer to apply modeling and simulation to verify requirements and evaluate alternatives for space-based sensing architectures. Candidates should have a strong background in modeling, mission analysis, and relevant programming languages, with a preference for demonstrated leadership and ability to work

Qualifications

  • BS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or related field from an accredited program.
  • 5 years of relevant education, professional, and/or technical work experience post bachelor’s degree in relevant topics.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and HPC/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, or space protection.
  • Provide analysis to support R&D and acquisition decisions for space-based sensing architectures.
  • Perform architecture evaluation modeling to assess performance.
  • Translate customer needs into project objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and present technically accurate analysis results to leads and customers.
  • Defend unexpected results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to sustainment and growth of analysis and simulation capabilities.
