Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA (on-site) seeks a Remote Sensing Architecture Technical Engineer to apply advanced modeling and simulation to verify requirements and evaluate options for space-based sensing architectures. You will work with senior staff across mission areas to translate customer needs into technical objectives.

The role requires MS in a related field, up to 1 year of experience, strong programming skills (Python, C/C++, HPC/Linux), and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• MS degree in aerospace engineering, physics, operations research, mathematics, or related field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0–1 year of industry experience in relevant topics post bachelor’s degree (e.g., modeling and simulation).
• Knowledge of space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, signal processing, space threats, or PNT technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis in geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, navigation systems, or space protection.
• Apply engineering techniques to support R&D and acquisition decisions for space-based sensing architectures.
• Perform architecture evaluation modeling using in-house or custom analysis tools.
• Plan and conduct deep-dives, trade studies, and assessments with senior staff and customers.
