Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Suitland, MD, seeks a Senior Space Operations Engineer to lead and perform enterprise-level analysis across mission operations and engineering. Onsite work at least four days a week supports NOAA/NESDIS OSPO interfaces and ground system evolution.

You will guide trade studies, system design, and test activities while collaborating with customers and management to optimize performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering/science experience in space or ground systems.
• Experience with NOAA, NASA, or commercial space programs.
• Knowledge of space-to-ground communications and RF link budgets.
• Strong program management, scheduling, and cost estimation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and analyze multiple engineering tasks across operations.
• Collaborate to assess feasibility, cost, and customer demand.
• Support design, integration, test of space and ground solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance and communicate with government leaders.
