Job summary

Vast is seeking an Avionics Test Technician in Long Beach, CA to support development of avionics systems for next‑generation space stations. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position reporting to the Manager of Avionics Testing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, test, or aerospace environments.
• 2+ years using electronics equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• 5+ years using basic mechanical/electronics hand tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic electrical principles and wiring concepts, including safety.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Build and commission test systems for avionics and electronics hardware.
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify testing equipment.
• Support development and qualification test campaigns via build and operation of test systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings including cable harnesses and wiring diagrams.
• Apply standard industry ESD best practices.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor progress and deliver work on schedule.
