Job summary

Vast is seeking an Avionics Test Technician to support development of systems for human-rated space stations, reporting to the Manager of Avionics Testing. This is a full-time, non-exempt role based in Long Beach, CA.

The position requires 1+ years in manufacturing/test/aerospace, familiarity with ERP/MRP, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills. You will work within a high-reliability environment, using test equipment and adhering to ESD standards.

Qualifications

• Basic comprehension of electrical principles and wiring concepts including electrical safety.
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, test, operations, aerospace industry, or other relevant role.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment calibration tracking for avionics test systems
• Work with Metrology to coordinate equipment recalibration
• Coordinate physical transfer as well as kitting of materials and components to support test system builds
• Support manufacturing schedules by maintaining stock levels for consumable components
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns via build and operation of test systems
• Have a working understanding of standard industry ESD best practices
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
