Job summary

Vast is hiring an Avionics Test Technician to support the Haven Station program and related aerospace testing efforts in Long Beach, CA. The role is full-time, non-exempt, and focused on maintaining avionics test systems and supporting calibration, transfer, and test campaigns.

The position requires knowledge of electrical principles, 1+ year aerospace or manufacturing experience, and familiarity with ERP/MRP, MS Office, and Google Workspace, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and problem

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electrical principles and wiring concepts including electrical safety.
• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, test, operations, aerospace industry, or other relevant role.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment calibration tracking for avionics test systems.
• Work with Metrology to coordinate equipment recalibration.
• Coordinate physical transfer and kitting of materials to support test system builds.
• Support manufacturing schedules by maintaining stock levels for consumables.
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns via build and operation of test systems.
• Have a working understanding of standard industry ESD best practices.
• Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
