Job summary

Vast is seeking an Avionics Test Technician to support the development of systems for human-rated space stations. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Manager of Avionics Testing at our Long Beach, California location.

The posted pay range is California $26 — $36 USD per hour, with calibration to experience. Vast offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), PTO, and generous meal perks on site.

Qualifications

• Basic comprehension of electrical principles and wiring concepts including electrical safety.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, test, operations, aerospace, or related.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment calibration tracking for avionics test systems.
• Coordinate recalibration with Metrology.
• Coordinate transfer and kitting of materials for test system builds.
• Maintain stock levels for consumables to support manufacturing schedules.
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and test campaigns via test systems.
