Job summary

Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure to enable a new space economy. The Avionics Test Technician role supports the design and build of human-rated space stations in a full-time, Long Beach location.

This position requires hands-on testing, system commissioning, and working with electronics hardware and test equipment. The team emphasizes documentation, safety, and meeting project milestones in a high-reliability environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, test, operations, aerospace.
• 2+ years using electronics equipment (DMMs, scopes).
• 5+ years using basic hand tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Build and commission test systems for avionics and electronics hardware.
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify testing equipment.
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns via build and operation of test systems.
• Read drawings and wiring diagrams; ensure ESD best practices.
• Deliver work on schedule and adhere to standards.
