Job summary

Vast in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support avionics systems for next-generation space stations. You will collaborate with design/test engineers to ensure manufacturability, build processes, and assembly instructions for avionics components and wire harnesses.

As an Environmental Test Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll develop manufacturing plans, optimize processes, perform root-cause analysis, and work with suppliers to deliver high-quality parts on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the aerospace or avionics industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability of avionics components and wire harnesses.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and onboard equipment for avionics systems.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing plans, assembly procedures, and work instructions.
