Job summary

Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut, seeks a Spa Manager to lead daily operations across the spa, fitness center, pool, and gift shop. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and drive revenue through promotions and service excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will uphold high guest-service standards and deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• 1 year as a Manager of Spa, Hotel, or similar hospitality position
• Thorough knowledge of spa services, cost and labor controls
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong English communication, verbal and written
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Be an active, visible leader that works as part of the Spa Front Desk team
• Administer staff scheduling for maximum revenue generation and profitability
• Oversee spa, fitness center, indoor pool, and gift shop operations
• Manage payroll and oversee interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff
• Attend departmental meetings
• Create ongoing in-house promotions and activities to stimulate sales, staff, and customers
• Maintain a competitive menu of services
• Uphold front desk procedures in the booking and handling of customers
