Job summary

Terranea Resorts is seeking a Spa Operations leader to oversee desk operations and the spa as a whole. You will train staff, ensure service excellence, manage scheduling, and coach team members to uphold Five Star standards.

You will lead the spa management team, coordinate with vendors, monitor inventory and retail sales, and drive guest satisfaction while maintaining resort-wide standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in a Spa environment preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a leadership position preferred.
• College education preferred.
• P.R. certification, computer experience required, Spasoft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to all Spa associates
• Maintain operating standards per SOP guidelines and Five Star/Five Diamond standards
• Be an active member of the spa management team
• Schedule staff and manage timesaver edits
• Develop relationships with vendors and groups to maximize spa success
• Understand and communicate spa and resort details to staff
• Ensure staff attire, retail, protocols and safety compliance
• Read, write and update SOPs; ensure staff understanding
• Attend daily lineups and departmental meetings; lead trainings
• Interview and select staff; motivate and evaluate performance
• Handle safety, MSDS binders and incident reporting
• Oversee spa reservations and staffing levels in SpaSoft
• Manage inventory for treatment rooms, dispensary and supplies
• Support spa retail coordination and home-care product sales
• Develop and uphold retail sales processes for at-home care
• Contribute to staffing logistics for VIP/group activity scheduling
• Ensure excellent guest service and conflict resolution
• Support budgeting and revenue optimization efforts
• Complete special projects as assigned by Spa/Hotel Management
• Foster a safe and calm environment under pressure
