Job summary

Equinox in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Spa Manager on Duty to deliver memorable guest experiences and support daily spa operations. This learning role prepares you for a Spa Coordinator path within our high‑performance, member‑centric team.

You will greet guests, orient them to the spa, drive product and service sales, ensure cleanliness, manage staff schedules, and assist with training and onboarding. A valid Massage Therapy or Esthetics license and outstanding customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Massage Therapy or Esthetics License
• Enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills
• Must enjoy working with people with a friendly and outgoing personality
• Able to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and money handling skills

Responsibilities

• Support daily activity of Spa Operation under Manager
• Increase product and service sales
• Provide superior customer service to all members, prospects and guests
• Maintain cleanliness and esthetic appeal of The Spa
• Open/close shifts; work 5 days at 6 hour shifts (30 hours a week) minimum
• Assist day-to-day staffing and basic member issues relating to Spa
• Answer emails, phone calls and voicemails in a timely and professional manner
• Create and maintain professional business relationships with members and Spa guests
• Assist with managing, maintaining, and restocking of Spa inventory
• Assist with training and onboarding for new staff members
• Help create and manage staff schedules for Spa department
• Help run outreach events and programs within club to promote performance results
• Communicate daily with Maintenance staff regarding Spa cleanliness
• Appropriately enforce policies and elevate to Spa Manager when required
• Other responsibilities as assigned
